NU Psychology is a team of Psychologists, located in Calgary, Alberta. We deliver services based on our areas of educational experience and training. This ensures our clients receive the most comprehensive care possible. We are skilled in developing customized programs to support the wellness of our clients. 

We have a dedicated Assessment Psychologist on staff who is specialized in providing assessments for individuals of all ages. Assessments are conducted in areas related to clinical functioning, academic, social/emotional, and neurodevelopmental conditions.

Leighton Dahl

Registered Provisional Psychologist 

Leighton supports teens and adults who have experienced challenges or trauma related to unhealthy familial dynamics, romantic relationships, peer relations, work-life balance, self-esteem, body image challenges, suicidal thoughts, self harm, and teen related addictions (vaping, social media, substances). In addition, Leighton is trained to work with clinical populations such as individuals struggling to manage Generalized Anxiety, Social Anxiety, Panic Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and Depression.

Jessica Dawson

Registered Psychologist 

Jessica specializes in with working with teens and adults in areas related to relationships, depression, anxiety, self-esteem, and body image issues. Jessica supports individuals using CBT, Solution Focused Therapy, and Regulation strategies. Jessica is also skilled in couples counselling and is trained in the Gottman method. Jessica incorporates a collaborative and integrative approach with her clients.

Marie-Claude Goulet

Registered Psychologist 

Marie supports individuals navigating disordered eating, body image concerns, OCD, borderline personality disorder (BPD), life transitions, expatriation and repatriation, and those seeking Queer, Trans, and Gender-affirming care. Fluent in both English and French, Marie is dedicated to helping clients understand and manage their emotions, break free from limiting behavior cycles, shift from self-criticism to self-compassion, explore personal values, and process life’s challenges.

Marie’s approach is rooted in collaboration and draws on a variety of evidence-based therapeutic models tailored to each client’s needs. These include Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). Whether in English or French, Marie aspires to create a space where trust and safety are built over time, allowing clients to navigate challenges and cultivate meaningful, value-driven lives.

Karli Jahn

Registered Provisional Psychologist 

Karli is committed to helping clients of all ages with neurodivergence, BPD and eating disorders. Her approach is rooted in a psycho-educational, weight-inclusive, Health-At-Every-Size (HAES) framework, emphasizing holistic healing. Karli takes a collaborative, approach to help you create a life that isn’t just about surviving. If you’ve felt stuck in the relentless pursuit of happiness or self-growth, know that you’re not alone. Karli’s goal is to create a curiously empathic, environment where you feel heard and supported as you explore your unique journey. Michelle provides trauma-informed, client-centered therapy for children, teens, and adults, blending techniques such as Internal Family Systems, Mindfulness, and Expressive Arts to meet your unique needs.

Shannon Kelly

Registered Psychologist 

Shannon provides strength-based therapy for individuals from a wholistic model. She supports individuals with exploring issues related to finding meaningful change, personal growth, and long term wellness. Individuals are invited to explore and find coping strategies to manage life & challenges and specializes in the treatment of Anxiety, ADHD, ASD, OCD, and issues related to self-esteem, social challenges, stress management, relationship difficulties, and emotion regulation challenges. Shannon supports individuals to develop insight, awareness, and new patterns of thinking and being.

Meghan Mak

Registered Psychologist 

Meghan specializes in Psychological, Educational, and Clinical Assessments. She has extensive knowledge and formal training in the assessment of developmental, learning, cognitive, attention, emotional, and behavioural concerns, from infancy through adulthood. Megan conducts specialized assessments that may involve funding options, problem-solving around accommodation-related concerns, and increasing students' capacity for self-advocacy. Meghan has expertise in conducting the following assessments.
