THERAPY

Teen Therapy

NU Psychology works with teens to support their growth and development in a safe and engaging environment. When teens are facing challenges, therapy can be a safe place to work through their difficulties. Therapy is a beneficial resource for teens that are experiencing challenges related to:

  • Generalized Anxiety

  • Social Anxiety

  • Panic Disorder

  • ADHD

  • Depression

  • ASD

  • Family Issues

  • School Problems

  • Bullying

  • Self-Esteem issues

  • and Emotional Struggles

Adolescents may benefit from therapy by learning to identify the root cause of the challenges as well as coping strategies. Teens often come to therapy to discuss relationship concerns, academic challenges, and issues related to stress. Additionally, teens often experience difficulties with social media and social pressures, body image challenges, and anxiety regarding an uncertain future. NU Psychology supports the growth of adolescents by building upon strengths, while learning to navigate what can be a challenging time in their development. At NU Psychology, we have found that a combination of talk therapy combined with therapeutic exercises is  most beneficial.
