  • We work with individuals who are looking to explore growth and maintain wellness. We also support individuals who may be experiencing challenges related to ADHD, Anxiety, ASD, OCD, and Depression. We us a combination of therapeutic techniques as it allows for a tailored approach towards an individuals strengths, goals, and learning style. Individuals often benefit most from a combined therapeutic approach, which may involve aspects of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), and Exposure Therapy

  • The first session involves gathering information, creating a relationship, and establishing how we can best work together to create healthy changes. Therapy is a dynamic process and evolves with ongoing sessions. Clients can expect to learn more about themselves, process experiences, and learn how to move through challenges to meet their goals.

  • Our hourly rate if you are working with a Registered or Provisionally Registered Psychologist is $220/hr.

    Effective March 1st, 2025, our session fees will be increasing to $235/hour in alignment with the Psychologists’ Association of Alberta (PAA) recommended fee schedule. You can find more details here: https://psychologistsassociation.ab.ca/resources/recommended-fee-schedule/

  • NU Psychology accepts all major credit cards and requires a credit card on file to proceed with services. Should you need to pay via e-transfer or cash please contact office@nupsychology.com ahead of the appointment time to hold your appointment.

  • No, we do not do direct billing. However, payments are made on the online booking system. Once the payment has been made, you will be emailed an invoice for your records and to submit to your insurance provider.

  • Please contact your insurance plan provider regarding Psychology coverage limits, coverage, and any other potential limitations. Psychology Services are considered a medical expense when insurance does not cover expenses.

  • NU Psychology requires 48 hours notice if you need to change or cancel your appointment. The client will be charged the full fee if the appointment is not cancelled within 48 hours ahead of time.

    We understand life happens. Please contact us by directly emailing your Psychologist or emailing us with as much notice as possible to discuss any challenges in regards to your appointment.

  • We are currently offer Telephone or Video sessions for clients who are would prefer to participate in this type of session for their session.

  • Free street parking is available on the far right side of the building, on 19th Avenue, as well as behind the building on 38th Street. If you park on 19th Avenue, please be aware of the two fire hydrants.
