The Umbrella approach to Psychology, involves supporting individuals from a wholistic model. This involves examining presenting issues, values, goals, and strengths and challenges. We are all wired to connect and create meaning. Our worlds are complex and stress is a natural part of managing the complexities of everyday life. We support individual’s with both managing stress and clinical concerns.

​We are a team of Calgary Psychologists that specialize in areas such as ADHD, Anxiety, ASD, OCD, and Depression. We use the principles of Positive Psychology, Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. These techniques are aimed at creating positive emotions and aligning thoughts with personal values. When our actions align with our values, meaningful change can occur!

    NU Psychology specializes in supporting individuals with ADHD, Anxiety, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Eating Disorders, and Depression. We support clients using a goal focused approach. The key to wellness is finding a tailored approach to Psychology that is strength-based and works for an individual’s goals and learning style.

  • Assessements

    NU Psychology conducts assessments for children, teens, and emerging adults. We have specialized Assessment Psychologists who provide Cognitive, Psychoeducational Assessments, ADHD Assessments, and Autism Spectrum Disorder Assessments. An assessment can be a beneficial tool for discovering the primary cause of challenges,  guiding treatment, and funding purposes. 

  • Parenting

    NU Psychology provides support for those who may be struggling with issues related to parenting. We provide parent therapy that address various issues related to boundary and rule setting, managing routines, transitions, and building harmony within the family. We also provide parenting support for parents who may be wondering how to best support a child with ADHD, ASD, Anxiety, Giftedness, Depression, or OCD.
